Visiting Scientist Program
Funder: Portland VA Research Foundation (PVARF)
Geographic Scope: Portland VA Medical Center and OHSU
Purpose: Provides funding for VA PIs to invite guest speakers for seminars and meetings.
- Any scientist approved by ACOS/R
- Must have supporting memos from three (3) funded Principal Investigators
Eligible Speakers
- Present a 45-60 minute WebEx seminar to broad audience at VA/OHSU
- Meet virtually with 4-5 VA Investigators for 30-45 minutes each
Expected Commitments
- Maximum Honorarium: $750
- Frequency: One visiting scientist per PI per year
