Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation Grants

Geographic Scope: Virginia Beach, VA and surrounding area

Purpose: Provides funding to Virginia Beach volunteer rescue squads and related emergency medical service organizations for equipment, upgrades, training, and operational needs.

Eligible Recipients:

• Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squads (individual stations)
• Council of Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squads, Inc. (Rescue Council)
• Virginia Beach EMS Marine Medic Team/Marine Rescue
• Virginia Beach EMS Volunteer Search and Rescue Bike Team
• Other volunteer emergency medical service organizations in Virginia Beach

Funding Areas:

• Ambulance upgrades and equipment
• Medical equipment (power-stretchers, Power-LOAD systems)
• Protective gear (high visibility rain jackets, drysuits)
• Safety equipment (portable carbon monoxide monitors)
• Bikes, helmets, generators, and bags for SAR and Bike Teams
• Equipment and supplies for volunteer rescue operations
