Geographic Scope: Virginia Beach, VA area

Purpose: Provides scholarships to students pursuing medical and healthcare professions, supporting individuals connected to or serving the Virginia Beach volunteer rescue squad system.

Eligibility: Students at universities and medical schools, including:

• Undergraduate students at universities (e.g., Longwood University, James Madison University)
• Medical students (e.g., Eastern Virginia Medical School, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine)
• Physician Assistant students (e.g., Eastern Virginia Medical School)

Background: The Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., and the entire volunteer emergency medical system in Virginia's largest city. Foundation initiatives include recruitment, retention, advocacy, and education efforts.
