Overview:
Each year the UNT Alumni Association awards deserving students scholarship support through contributions made by generous alumni. Scholarship amounts vary each semester. Students may apply for these scholarships through the Eagle Scholarship Portal.

Current Named Scholarships
1. The Denton Chapter of the University of North Texas Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship - Awarded to graduates of North Denton County high schools 2. The Denton County Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship - Awarded to graduates from any high school within Denton County 3. The Collin County Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship - Awarded to graduates from any high school within Collin County 4. The UNT Alumni Association Gulf Coast Endowed Scholarship - Preference given to graduates of high schools within Gulf Coast Region counties (Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller) 5. The Dallas County Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship - Awarded to students who are graduates from any high school in Dallas County 6. The Tarrant County Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship - Awarded to graduates from any high school within Tarrant County 7. The David P. Jackson ('97) Memorial Endowed Scholarship for the Greater Austin Area - Awarded to graduates of any high school in Travis, Bastrop, Williamson, and Hays counties 8. The UNT Alumni Association Board of Directors Annual Scholarship Fund - Awarded to full-time students (any major) in good standing with the university 9. The San Antonio Alumni Association Network Endowed Scholarship Fund - Awarded to students who graduated from any high school in Bexar County, TexasContinuation
All UNT Alumni Association scholarships may continue to be awarded to previous recipients on an annual basis in successive years if the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements.Contact

How to Apply
1. Access the Portal: Students may apply through the Eagle Scholarship Portal
2. Review Eligibility: Confirm you meet general requirements (full-time enrollment, 3.0 GPA maintenance, etc.)
3. Check Specific Criteria: Many UNT Alumni Association scholarships have specific eligibility criteria - review these in the scholarship application portal
4. Complete Application: Submit completed application through the portal
5. Appeal Process: If you cannot meet enrollment requirements due to mitigating circumstances, you may request a scholarship appeal through the UNT Alumni Association. Appeals will be reviewed by a scholarship committee with notification sent to your UNT EagleConnect email.
