Overview: The Fellowship is an intensive leadership development program that prepares aspiring school leaders to create and lead high-performing, intentionally diverse charter schools. Fellows participate in a full-time, paid residency at a member host school site. The Fellowship culminates in the launch of a new intentionally diverse school.

    Host School Requirements

    Host school sites must be exemplary models of intentionally diverse schools with:
  • Effective leadership
  • Collaborative culture
  • Strong family engagement
  • Equitable and inclusive environment for all staff and students
  • Rigorous instruction leading to higher-than-local-average academic results

    Selection Process

    Multi-step process including:
  • Resume review
  • Phone screen
  • Work product review
  • Interview with DCSC staff and board members

Geographic Scope

National focus; goal to catalyze the launch of four new intentionally diverse charter schools by 2020
