UnifiED Fellow Program

Program Type: Full-time paid residency leadership development

Cost: $37,250

Duration: At least 12 months

The Fellowship is an intensive leadership development program that prepares aspiring school leaders to create and lead high-performing, intentionally diverse charter schools. Fellows participate in a full-time, paid residency at a member host school site. The Fellowship culminates in the launch of a new intentionally diverse school.

Host School Requirements

Host school sites must be exemplary models of intentionally diverse schools with:

• Effective leadership
• Collaborative culture
• Strong family engagement
• Equitable and inclusive environment for all staff and students
• Rigorous instruction leading to higher-than-local-average academic results

Selection Process

Multi-step process including:

• Resume review
• Phone screen
• Work product review
• Interview with DCSC staff and board members

Geographic Scope

National focus; goal to catalyze the launch of four new intentionally diverse charter schools by 2020

3. Phone Screen Interview - Discuss background, experience, and goals
4. Work Product Review - Provide writing sample or work product
5. Final Interview - Interview with DCSC staff and board members
