Program Description:
Scholarship for UC Santa Barbara students pursuing Black Studies with research focused on racial justice topics. Past recipients have researched topics including Black youth liberation in theatre, Black queer identity and freedom, Black cyclists, sentencing disparity, Black and Palestinian solidarity, housing inequities, gendered social dynamics in Africa, racial capitalism and Black/Asian relations, and antiblackness in healthcare.
