U.S. Biosphere Network Transboundary Internship Program

Geographic Scope: U.S.-Canada transboundary biosphere regions

Participating Biosphere Regions:

  • Obtawaing (Michigan) paired with Georgian Bay (Ontario)

    • Focus Areas:

  • Climate change response and adaptation

  • Natural habitat and wildlife corridor restoration

  • Ecosystem services awareness for local economies

  • Professional development in environmental science, management, and communication

  • Indigenous and First Nations engagement

  • Indigenous and rural stewardship ethics

    • Eligible Applicants:

  • Interns selected from Indigenous and local rural communities within biosphere regions

  • Must be from participating biosphere region areas
