U.S. Army-Pro Football Hall of Fame Award for Excellence

Program Description: A national partnership between the U.S. Army and the Pro Football Hall of Fame recognizing outstanding high school student-athletes.

Status: Active partnership in its sixth year (as of 2018 content)

Geographic Scope: United States

Eligibility:

  • Sophomore, junior, and senior high school student-athletes

  • Must demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, and community service

    • Award Details:

  • Finalists: 25 outstanding high school student-athletes selected annually

  • Grand Prize: $2,500 grant to the overall winner

  • Recognition: Winner recognized during the Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony

  • Special Event: All 25 finalists are invited to Canton, Ohio for Enshrinement Week in August

  • Hall of Famer Participation: Each finalist honored by Army Soldiers and a Pro Football Hall of Fame Gold Jacket at their high school

  • Additional Honors: Finalists recognized throughout Enshrinement Week festivities, including the Hall of Fame Game (NFL's preseason opener)
