Overview

The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy, and international activities. APS represents more than 50,000 members, including physicists in academia, national laboratories, and industry in the United States and throughout the world. The Robert S. Hyer Research Award, of the Texas Section of the American Physical Society, will be presented each year to a recipient who must have been an undergraduate student when the research was performed. The only criterion is excellence, including potential impact in the relevant scientific community. The recipient will receive a plaque and $1000. The award will be presented at the Fall meeting.
