Overview

Trustees' Garden Club Community Grant

Funder: Trustees' Garden Club Inc, Savannah, GA (Member of The Garden Club of America since 1941)

Purpose: Grants awarded to local non-profits whose projects align with one or more of Trustees' Garden Club purposes, which adhere to The Garden Club of America (GCA) mission to:

  • Stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening

  • Share the advantages of association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence and publications

  • Restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in conservation and civic improvement
  • Geographic Scope: Local (Savannah area and surrounding region in Georgia)

    Eligibility:

  • Local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations

  • Projects must fulfill at least one of the purposes of Trustees' Garden Club as stated in their Bylaws
  • Does NOT Fund:

  • Organizations that do not hold 501(c)(3) status

  • Fraternal, Political, Labor, Athletic or Social Groups

  • Institutional overhead or indirect costs incurred during a project

  • Capital campaigns or endowments

  • Activities of Organizations serving primarily their own members

  • Maintenance of existing projects

    Application Process

    Deadline: November 1 (annual)

    Steps:
    1. Carefully review the Grant Guidelines provided by Trustees' Garden Club
    2. Complete the full application (not just a letter of intent)
    3. Ensure your project aligns with at least one of Trustees' Garden Club's stated purposes
    4. Submit completed application before the November 1 deadline
