Travel, Training and Other Events Grants

The UFAW Travel, Training and Other Events Grant supports non-research events focused on animal welfare, including educational meetings and training visits. Applications are open worldwide to individuals and organizations, but funding requests must be submitted at least two months prior to the event. Note that events related to conservation or livestock yield improvement are not eligible for funding. Grants under £5,000 can be applied for through the Small Research Grant Application.

Note: animal welfare must be the main focus of the event. Completed application forms are accepted throughout the year. However, please ensure that any request for funding is submitted at least two months before the project start date.
UFAW is concerned with the welfare of farm, companion, laboratory, captive wild animals, and with free-living wild animals whose welfare is compromised by humans.
The UFAW Travel, Training and Other Events Grant is for applications to support non-research events, such as attending or organising, educational or scientific, meetings, lectures, courses or training visits; or for other small (non-research) events in support of UFAW’s objectives.
Funding
Applications for research funding of less than £5,000 should be made via the   Small Research Grant Application and over £5,000 via the Large Research Grant Application.
