Program Description

Provides funding for tourism product development, attractions, special events, and festivals designed to develop new tourism products and enhanced experiences that will attract visitors to Augusta and foster local economic impact through tourism.

Funding Allocation

• The Tourism Product Development Committee is authorized to use up to 25% of total tourism grant funds for this program
• Funds support development of new tourism products and enhanced experiences

Eligibility

• Applicant Type: Documented not-for-profit, governmental, or quasi-governmental entities only
• Funded through a portion of the local lodging tax

Review Process

• Grants reviewed by the Tourism Product Development Committee, comprised of:
- Mayor Pro Tem - Two city commissioners - Four members of Destination Augusta's Board of Directors
