Ticket Assist Program

Funder: Dynamo and Dash Charities Inc

Program Type: In-kind donation program providing complimentary tickets to professional soccer games

Award: Complimentary electronic tickets to Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash home matches

Purpose

Provides complimentary tickets to Houston nonprofit organizations and Title 1 schools that serve children, public servants, and community and civic groups who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a professional soccer game.

Geographic Scope

  • Greater Houston area
  • Organizations must be located within 90 miles of downtown Houston (organizations 90+ miles away are NOT eligible)

Eligible Organizations

  • 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit agencies in Greater Houston area
  • Title 1 schools serving children
  • Public servants and community/civic groups serving children

Ineligible Organizations

  • For-profit organizations
  • Corporate foundations
  • Youth Soccer clubs
  • Employee clubs/associations
  • Individuals
  • Organizations using tickets for fundraisers
  • Organizations 90+ miles outside downtown Houston

Ticket Delivery Method

  • Electronic tickets only (per Shell Energy Stadium policy)
  • Distributed via SeatGeek platform
  • Participants must have smartphone with internet access
  • No physical tickets provided

Application Timeline

  • Applications typically open in January each year
  • Rolling basis – no deadline; applications accepted throughout the year
  • New application process each year – contact lists do not roll over from previous years
  • Acceptance confirmation sent via email from Charities@houstondynamo.com

Program Rules (Violations Result in Dismissal)

1. Federal Tax ID Required: Must provide 9-digit federal tax ID (format: 12-3456789). Texas tax IDs (7 digits) will result in application rejection
2. All tickets must be used – Unused tickets result in probation; multiple violations result in permanent removal
3. Tickets cannot be resold – Resale results in immediate dismissal
4. One contact person per organization – Duplicate applications result in removal
5. One representative per organization – Individuals cannot represent multiple organizations
6. Business email required – Contact email must be organizational email, not personal (e.g., not Gmail, but organization domain)

Application Process

  • Applications are not guaranteed to result in ticket availability
  • No guarantee of specific game selections
  • If accepted, organization receives email notification from Charities@houstondynamo.com
  • When tickets become available, organization is contacted via email with maximum number of tickets available for request

How to Apply

Application Process

Application Timeline:

  • Applications typically open in January each year

  • Rolling basis – applications accepted throughout the year with no deadline

  • New applications required annually – previous years' contact lists do not roll over
  • To Apply:
    1. Complete the online application form available on the Ticket Assist Program page
    2. Ensure your organization meets all eligibility requirements
    3. Provide accurate organizational information

    Required Information:

  • Organization name

  • Federal tax ID number (9-digit format: 12-3456789) – Texas tax IDs will result in rejection

  • Organization address and phone number

  • One designated contact person (business email required, not personal)

  • Confirmation of 501(c)(3) status or Title 1 school status

  • Organization mission and description of populations served
  • Important Notes:

  • Contact email must be organizational email address (acceptable: janedoe@organizationname.com or DynamoandDashCharities@gmail.com if registered to organization)

  • Not acceptable: Personal Gmail or other personal email addresses

  • Only one contact person per organization should submit the application

  • Each individual may only represent one organization

  • Previous participation does not guarantee acceptance
  • After Acceptance:
    1. If accepted, you will receive acceptance email from Charities@houstondynamo.com
    2. Create a SeatGeek account using the email submitted with your application
    3. When tickets become available, you will receive email with maximum number of tickets available for request
    4. Request tickets for desired games
    5. Receive electronic tickets via SeatGeek
    6. Use smartphone to access and display tickets at games

    Ticket Usage Requirements:

  • All tickets must be distributed and used by your organization

  • Tickets cannot be resold under any circumstances

  • Tickets cannot be used for fundraising purposes

  • Submit thank you letters to demonstrate ticket usage and appreciation
