Overview

THRIVE Fund

Overview: Palmetto Goodwill created the THRIVE Fund to provide financial assistance and paid time off to team members experiencing unforeseen hardships, unplanned difficulties, natural disasters, or unexpected medical bills.

Geographic Scope: South Carolina (multiple Palmetto Goodwill locations)

Funding Source: The THRIVE Fund is supported by donations from other team members. Donations can be contributed on a one-time basis or through continual bi-weekly payroll contributions.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Team member must be employed by Palmetto Goodwill/Palmetto Goodwill Services for at least 30 days
  • Team member can be in either Full-time or Part-time active status
  • Team member must agree to have their request, need(s), and employment standing reviewed by the THRIVE Fund Committee
  • The THRIVE Fund is available to access only once per team member in any 12-month period

THRIVE Fund Committee

  • Consists of cross-functional leaders within the organization
  • Tasked to uphold company values, review each request quickly and fairly, support mission at home initiatives, and maintain confidentiality

How to Apply

1. Complete the THRIVE Fund Interest Form at the provided URL
2. Provide Personal Information:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Email address

3. Employment Details:
- Select your work location from the provided list
- Select your department (Retail, Corporate/Main Office, E-Commerce, Transportation, Mission Services, Contracts, I-CAN, or Other)
- Confirm employment status (Full-time or Part-time)
- Confirm you have been employed for at least 30 days
- Provide your start date/first day of work
- If part-time, indicate if you are eligible/available to work full-time hours

4. Resource Assessment:
- Confirm whether you have checked into other available resources
- Confirm whether you have checked for payment plan availability
- Indicate if you have a 401K

5. Program Enrollment:
- Indicate if you have signed up for THRIVE and been assigned a success coach
- Provide success coach name if applicable

6. Required Narrative Responses:
- Explain your situation: Provide specific details about why you are applying for financial assistance (be as specific as possible)
- Describe consequences if request denied: Explain what will happen next if the request is not approved (example: disconnection notice, inability to travel for family emergency, etc.)

7. Select Type of Support Needed:
- Financial hardship
- Paid time off

8. Submit: Complete and submit the form through the website
