Invitations to apply will begin June 25 and December 20 following discussions from the potential grantee. Thomas W. Briggs Foundation Grants At the Briggs Foundation, we consider it a privilege to partner with organizations making a measurable difference in Memphis, Tennessee. Our funding supports efforts that align closely with our strategic priorities and demonstrate a clear, lasting impact on the community. We operate on a biennial funding cycle with two application periods each year – spring and fall. At this time we offer two types of grants: Core Funding and the Equity Fund. To be considered for funding, organizations MUST:Possess 501c3 nonprofit status.Maintain a Memphis office.Primarily serve the city of Memphis (and not beyond Shelby County, TN).Have a profile on LIVEGIVEmidsouth.org at the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis.Communicate through the Executive Director of the organization.To be eligible for the Equity Fund, organizations must meet the general funding requirements as well as the following criteria:Leadership: The Executive Director must identify as BIPOC and lead an organization that primarily serves BIPOC communities (defined as more than 50% of the population served).Reporting: Grantees are expected to check in quarterly through informal updates, which may include a site visit or conversation with the Briggs Executive Director.Ineligibility
