Overview

Thomas Barbour Scholarships Program

Overview: Established in 1968 to recognize excellence in performing arts students. Named in honor of EAG member, benefactor and actor Thomas Barbour in 2004.

Award Structure: Six annual scholarships are awarded:

Five scholarships to students at American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York

One scholarship - The George C. Scott Memorial Scholarship for a student studying Theatre Arts at the University of Missouri

Additional: The Claire Strakosch Scholarship, currently endowed by the Margaret G. Plumb Irrevocable Trust, is given periodically to students in theatre programs

Students enrolled at American Academy of Dramatic Arts, University of Missouri, or eligible theatre programs
