The Swoszowski Scholarship was established through a signature gift by philanthropists Bob and Wanda Swoszowski and was dedicated in June 2014. The donors emphasized awareness of community needs and helping individuals follow their educational dreams when it might not be possible otherwise. As of the 2014 announcement, five nursing and allied health students had already been selected as recipients.
