Overview: The Marilyn Brown Nursing Scholarship provides financial support to St. Mary's colleagues who have been accepted into a nursing program of study.

Eligibility:

  • St. Mary's colleagues (employees)

  • Must be accepted into a nursing program of study

  • Can be nurses studying to advance their career (e.g., pursuing advanced degrees like Master's or FNP)

  • Can be colleagues studying to become a nurse for the first time

  • Examples of eligible programs: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree (Family Nurse Practitioner), Associate's degree in Nursing, LPN-to-RN Bridge programs, online nursing programs

    • Background: The scholarship was established by Marilyn Brown, a grateful patient who was inspired by the skill, tenderness and reverence she experienced from St. Mary's nurses. She hopes other grateful patients will follow in her footsteps to help more St. Mary's colleagues become nurses or advance their nursing careers.
