    Encourage use of materials that engage students in meaningful activities promoting effective use of technology, stronger problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and enhanced numeracy.

    • Focus on courses below calculus
    • Best practices in community college mathematics education
    • Technology integration in mathematics instruction

      20 Classroom-Ready Modules including:
    • Student worksheets
    • Teacher guides (PDF format)
    • Excel files
    • TNS files (for TI Nspire calculators)
    • Pictures and videos
    • All modules free for classroom use

      NEW ACRA Activities

      Action-Consequence-Reflect-Assess (ACRA) Activities - constructivist-based activities requiring students to:
    • Take mathematical actions on mathematical objects
    • Determine consequences of those actions
    • Reflect on learning for deeper understanding
    • Allow teachers to assess concept mastery for new applications

      Guiding Principles

    • Based on Beyond Crossroads: Implementing Mathematics Standards in the First Two Years of Colleges
    • Aligned with MAA CRAFTY College Algebra Guidelines
    • Endorsed by Committee on Undergraduate Program in Mathematics (CUPM)
