The Guarini Scholarship

The Honorable Frank Guarini, Chair Emeritus of John Cabot University, and a CCF founding member, established a perpetual fund to enable Italian American students to attend John Cabot University in Rome.

* Scholarships are typically four-year awards, providing partial tuition support
* Scholarship amounts awarded are final and will not be increased.
* Scholarship payments are paid directly to the school, not the recipient
* CCF’s awards are intended to reduce your financial burden. If your school intends to reduce your award because of the CCF Scholarship, please contact us immediately. This private philanthropic support should not make you ineligible for other awards or reduce funding that may otherwise be available to you. If your school makes any change to the financial aid/award offered to you because of the CCF Award, we will work with you to avoid this outcome.

Eligibility

*  The application is now open to US citizens or residents who are planning to attend John Cabot University for one semester or two consecutive semesters, are of at least 25% Italian heritage, and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
* Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholarships are awarded to high school and college students.
* CCF awards are for tuition or other qualified educational expenses of attending the school to which the funds are being paid.
* Recipients must maintain an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher to continue receiving the scholarship.

Ineligibility

* CCF awards are not for off-campus housing, transportation, to pay loans, or for other non-educational expenses.
* Many CCF awards are restricted by our donors to specific schools and may not be transferable to another school if the student matriculates elsewhere.
* Scholarships are not transferable to any other individual.
* Scholarships are restricted to the original purpose of the award and for a specific time frame.
* Requests to defer scholarships or alter the award schedule will be considered but there are very limited circumstances in which we can approve such changes.
