OUR VISION Fox Family Foundation is a grant-making organization that focuses on primarily on workforce development, creating opportunities for individuals to gain valuable skills and break the link between poverty and disability, and vision loss in particular. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs, the foundation aims to empower people of all abilities to access education, entrepreneurship, and meaningful careers. We prioritize inclusion and accessibility to ensure equitable opportunities exist so people can thrive in the workforce and contribute to a more just society. OUR PROGRAMS With only 3% of philanthropic dollars being directed towards disability efforts, the Fox Family Foundation has taken a proactive approach by developing its own signature programs to address gaps that empower differently-abled individuals. These programs focus on accessibility, education, and advocacy, ensuring that people with visual disabilities have equal opportunities and can thrive in all aspects of life. FUNDING PRIORITIES INVISIONS: Is a Fox Family Foundation initiative activating young people to Innovate for Inclusion. Institutions of Learning and youth-oriented organizations are invited to join the movement to make a tangible impact. EXCEPTIONAL SCHOLARS: Fund focus is on the educational and skill attainment for BVI students and working-age adults in the United States. VISIONARY SCHOLARS: Fund focus is on diversity and inclusion within career fields that serve BVI people in the United States. DATA FOR INCLUSION: Fund focus is on research and open data projects that will improve the lives of BVI individuals. EARLY IMPACT: Fund focus is on vision screenings and related support. INCLUSIVE INNOVATION: Fund focus is on solutions that promote independent living.

Eligibility

The Fox Family Foundation will consider grant requests from eligible organizations serving vulnerable populations within the United States. Eligible to apply for funding are:tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations as defined under Section 501 (c)3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code;programs which use a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)3 tax-exempt status educational institutions for-profit organizations that are mission-fit and/or program-fit for MRI and PRI grants

Please keep in mind that we do not make grants to: individuals international organizations projects providing equipment and services already covered by publicly funded programs projects providing communications equipment and services for employees of the applicant.
