United Negro College Fund “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”® For more than seven decades, this principle has remained at the heart of UNCF, enabling us to raise more than $5 billion and help more than 500,000 students and counting not just attend college, but thrive, graduate and become leaders. We do this in three ways: By awarding more than 12,000 students scholarships, worth more than $65 million, each year. By providing financial support to 37 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). And by serving as the nation’s leading advocate for the importance of minority education and community engagement. The Edward M. Nagel Endowed Scholarship The Edward M Nagel Scholarship is open to undergraduate students pursuing studies in business (and business related majors).

Eligibility

New candidates must meet the minimum criteria for full consideration: Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.Full time enrollment at an accredited 4-year college or university.Pursuing a first time Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to business (ex. accounting, economics, finance, human resources)Possess a track record of leadership qualities as evidenced by earlier endeavors.Have a demonstrated financial need that will be verified by your college or university.Residency Status: U.S. national or permanent resident Eligibility requirements for renewal are as follows: Complete a FAFSA form.Continue to demonstrate unmet financial need as verified by their college or university.Continue to be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year institution in good personal and academic standing.Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.Students who do not meet the renewal criteria will be placed on a one semester grace period, while funded, to come into compliance.
