The Angela and Reginald Goins Endowed Scholarship Grant

The Angela and Reginald Goins Endowed Scholarship, offered by the United Negro College Fund, provides vital financial support to full-time undergraduate students attending four-year historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). This need-based scholarship aims to assist students who possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate unmet financial need, fostering academic success and leadership among minority students in major urban areas like New York City, Chicago, and Detroit.

For more than seven decades, this principle has remained at the heart of UNCF, enabling us to raise more than $5 billion and help more than 500,000 students and counting not just attend college, but thrive, graduate and become leaders.
We do this in three ways: By awarding more than 12,000 students scholarships, worth more than $65 million, each year. By providing financial support to 37 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). And by serving as the nation’s leading advocate for the importance of minority education and community engagement.
The Angela and Reginald Goins Endowed Scholarship is a need-based scholarship for full-time, undergraduate students attending a four-year HBCU.

Eligibility

Applicants for the Angela and Reginald Goins Scholarship must meet the following eligibility requirements:Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale;File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form;Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by your college or university;Reside or be a permanent resident of New York City, Chicago, or metro Detroit (Michigan Counties of Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, or Wayne);Be an undergraduate enrolled full-time at any accredited four-year HBCU Fall 2025.
