Our story begins 35 years ago, when citizen advocates representing a cross-sector of Sarasota County leaders formed a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing our district’s public education. The Education Foundation of Sarasota County Scholarship The Education Foundation of Sarasota County Scholarship is a one-time, nonrenewable $1,000 scholarship.

Eligibility

Must be a 2025 OR recent high school graduate of a Sarasota County public schoolMust be enrolled in an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university or vocational/technical schoolMust be younger than age 24 as of December 31, 2025 Minimum 2.5 unweighted high school OR current college GPA including most recent transcript Demonstrate financial need including FAFSA OR other accepted documentation.

Ineligibility

Private high school graduates are not eligible. Graduate school students are not eligible.
