The Chevron Changing the Face of Golf Scholarship Grant

The Chevron Changing the Face of Golf Scholarship, awarded by the LPGA Foundation, aims to empower female high school seniors from minority backgrounds pursuing STEM studies. Established in 2022, this scholarship promotes diversity in golf and education, honoring Dinah Shore's legacy. By supporting young women, the LPGA Foundation continues its mission to change the face of golf and provide educational opportunities, enhancing representation in both golf and STEM fields.

The LPGA Foundation supports women and young people through programs and initiatives aimed at empowering them through the game of golf. Since its founding, The LPGA Foundation has touched more than 500,000 lives through various scholarship and financial assistance programs, along with its flagship junior golf program, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf. The LPGA Foundation was established in 1991 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which supports junior golf programs, scholarships, and financial assistance programs for women and young ladies.
The Chevron Changing the Face of Golf Scholarship will be awarded through the LPGA Foundation as part of Chevron’s commitment through the LPGA Foundation Giving Circle. Established in 2022, Chevron will offer this scholarship opportunity for female high school seniors of minority background pursuing a full-time, STEM-focused course of study at an accredited college or university in the United States. Through this effort, the LPGA Foundation will further its commitment to Change the Face of Golf and increase opportunities for young women to obtain a college education.
The goal of this initiative is two-fold:

• To increase representation of communities who have been traditionally underrepresented in golf and STEM.
• To preserve the legacy of Dinah Shore, an advocate for women’s golf and honorary member of the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame.

Eligibility

Be a high school senior at the time of application
Student must identify as Asian, Black or African-American, Hispanic/Latin-American, American Indian or Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander)
Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale is needed to apply and maintained
Pursuit of a STEM-focused educational path
Committed to attending an accredited college or university in the United States
