The Charles E. Kubly Foundation Grants

The Charles E. Kubly Foundation Grants focus on improving the lives of those affected by depression through funding mental health projects. Grant requests are accepted from not-for-profit organizations providing direct services or educational programs. The foundation prefers projects impacting Wisconsin, with measurable outcomes and specific timelines. However, they do not support research, legislative activities, or ongoing operational costs.

The Charles E. Kubly Foundation is a public charity committed to improving the lives of those affected by depression. Through the generous support of our donors, we fund quality mental health projects that aim to reduce suicide and the stigma associated with depression and provide education and resource information.
Grant Request Funding Priorities
The Charles E. Kubly Foundation seeks to better the lives of those affected by depression by increasing public awareness of the disease and its devastating effects, eliminating the stigma associated with it, supporting suicide prevention programs and promoting improved access to quality mental health resources within communities.

Eligibility

We welcome grant requests from not-for-profit organizations that:Provide services to either those afflicted by depression and depression-related diseases or their friends and family.Host events or media campaigns to reduce depression-related stigma targeting either the general public or more specific populations.\Provide educational workshops, seminars or other such events to service providers that interact with our population of concern (e.g. medical doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, police, EMTs, and firefighters) to improve the knowledge and response of existing resources.Support educational programs with a focus on the prevention of depression, depression-related diseases, and suicide.

Ineligibility

At this time, we do not actively provide grants in support of research.However, if you or your organization is performing research to develop a project that we would fund (i.e. items 1-4 described above), then we will consider your request. Grants that have been sent in without a previous discussion with the ED will not be accepted.
