This scholarship was established by The Brick Companies in honor of Marshall Groom, who served 52+ years on the Board of Directors. The funds were designated to honor Marshall's mother, Marjorie Kingsman Groom. The scholarship reached endowed status in May 2022, making it the first-ever endowed scholarship at AACC supporting non-credit students. The scholarship supports students pursuing careers in skilled trades rather than traditional four-year degree programs.
