Texas Rural Grant Program

Overview: Texas Rural Communities, Inc. (TRC) makes grants to fund community programs in rural areas that advance community development, including but not limited to environmental, economic or educational programs for the benefit of rural communities.

Mission: TRC makes a long-term commitment to assisting rural communities, individuals, groups and support organizations in creating, sustaining and enabling self-sufficient, viable rural development enterprises that improve or maintain the quality of rural life.

Eligibility Requirements

Organization Type: 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Community Based Organizations
Affiliation: Not affiliated with governmental or quasi-governmental organizations
Alternative: Organizations without 501(c)(3) status must have a non-governmental sponsor organization that maintains appropriate tax status and provide letter of support from President/Chair of sponsoring organization
Organizational History: Organization must have been in existence for at least one year
Governance: Must have established Board of Directors
Financial Documentation: Must have current budget, balance sheet, and income/expense statement

Submission Method: Applications must be mailed (unstapled) to the organization. Applications submitted by fax or email will not be accepted.

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked no later than November 7, 2025.
