Eligibility:

  • Requires a team of two (2) individuals

  • Team members must serve in two (2) different roles (e.g., victim advocate and detective, or advocate and prosecutor)

  • Both must work in the violence against women field

  • Both must work in rural or underserved communities in Texas

  • Team members do NOT have to work in the same agency or organization

  • Ineligibility: Office may not be the recipient of any funding from the State of Texas Criminal Justice Division
  • What is Covered:

  • Conference registration for both individuals

  • Four (4) nights hotel accommodation at conference hotel or nearby hotel (Sunday check-in through Thursday check-out) for both individuals
  • What is NOT Covered:

  • Travel
  • Application Requirements:

  • Team of two individuals must apply together

  • Only one application per team

  • Lead applicant serves as point of contact

  • Must provide thorough explanation of funding need beyond standard verbiage

  • Personal information from both team members required

  • Terms agreement required within application

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    1. Form a team of two (2) individuals with different roles from a rural or underserved community in Texas who work in the violence against women field
    2. Verify neither team member's agency receives funding from State of Texas Criminal Justice Division
    3. Both team members should sit down together and fill out one application
    4. Use an email address you have regular access to for the lead applicant
    5. Provide thorough explanation of funding need and budget constraints
    6. Submit personal information from both team members
    7. Agree to terms within the application
    8. Monitor email closely after applying

    • Demonstration of collaborative work relationship
    • Roles and responsibilities of each team member (must be different)
    • Confirmation of no Criminal Justice Division funding
    • Terms agreement acceptance

    After Award

    • Lead applicant receives confirmation email upon submission
    • Lead applicant receives notification email if team is awarded or denied
    • Each awardee receives custom discount code (non-transferable)
    • Both awardees must register individually using assigned discount code
    • Hotel reservations will be emailed closer to conference date
    • CCAW will book hotel accommodations on behalf of awardees
