Texas Bar Foundation Grant

The Texas Bar Foundation Grant supports programs that enhance justice in Texas, focusing on legal services for the underserved, ethics in the legal profession, and public education about the legal system. Over $1,600,000 will be awarded this year to non-profits aligned with these goals. Grants are exclusively for 501(c)3 charities, with a total of $871,270 distributed to 70 organizations in the Fall 2024 cycle, contributing to over $28 million in grants since inception.

The Texas Bar Foundation solicits charitable contributions and provides funding to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas, especially for programs that relate to the administration of justice; ethics in the legal profession; legal assistance for the needy; the encouragement of legal research, publications and forums; and the education of the public.

The Texas Bar Foundation will award more than $1,600,000 this bar year to non profit organizations conducting programs that fit the Foundation’s mission.
A total of $871,270 in grants was awarded to 70 organizations during the Fall 2024 grant cycle. Since inception, more than $28 million in grants has been awarded to charitable organizations across Texas.

Eligibility

The Texas Bar Foundation awards grants only to 501(c)3 charities serving the State of TexasBar Associations, though 501(c)6 organizations, and state entities can apply for project support that fits the Foundation's mission (above).

Ineligibility

No grants are awarded to individuals.
