Teague-Gaudin OTA/SOMOS Active-Duty Military Traveling Fellowship This prestigious opportunity provides early-career military orthopaedic trauma surgeons with a unique, immersive experience at leading trauma centers across the country. Travel to multiple high-volume trauma centers to broaden your clinical and leadership skills. Fellowship Duration: Separate one-week education, observation, and mentorship experiences at up to three high volume trauma systems Dr. David Teague and Dr. Helen Gaudin made an extraordinary commitment to the OTA by gifting $150,000 in support of the OTA/SOMOS Active-Duty Military Traveling Fellowship. This donation will provide ongoing funding for a biennial observership that will expose an active-duty military fellow to high-volume trauma centers where they can engage in evaluation, decision-making, and pre-operative planning. Both organizations and the donors aspire for this fellowship to foster ongoing military-civilian collaboration and professional development.
