Design and teach hybrid courses with emphasis on digital teaching

Use technology to build hybrid ways of teaching and learning

Study how technology works in liberal arts colleges

Expand capacity to build hybrid courses

Find new ways of teaching and learning

Promote collaboration among member schools

Program Components:
1. Three aspects: expanding capacity to build hybrid courses; finding new ways of teaching and learning; promoting collaboration among member schools
2. Three workshops featuring faculty and staff from different schools to analyze effectiveness
- First workshop: Hope College (June 2015)
- Second workshop: Wabash College (April 2016)
- Final workshop: Albion College (Summer 2017)
3. Research from classes available to other GLCA faculty

Example Collaboration:

Albion's Marcy Sacks (African American history) and Hope College's Jeanne Petit (U.S. history) combined classes to create website on Black Lives Matter movement

Joint face-to-face meeting in Kalamazoo for student discussion

Plan to create collaborative website
