Teacher Grant Program
Funder: Azura Credit Union
Award Amount: Up to $300 per grant
Geographic Scope: Classrooms in Northeast Kansas (Azura service area)
Program Focus: Providing financial support to educators for classroom supplies, projects, and expenses to enhance student learning.
Background: Since launching the Teacher Grant program, Azura has distributed more than $20,000 in grants to nearly 80 teachers who have influenced the lives of more than 5,700 students in Northeast Kansas.
- Must be a current Azura Credit Union member in good standing
- Requesting funds for a classroom in Northeast Kansas
- Must maintain an active account relationship with Azura for at least six months, which includes items such as: - Direct Deposit - Checking Account - Loan balance
Eligibility Requirements
- One request per calendar year per teacher
- One request per project
- Must wait one year from date of last grant application before submitting a new application
- The program does NOT fund: - Some technology items (such as iPads and smart boards) - Travel expenses - Food for classroom events - Prizes for classroom events - Items over $300
Restrictions & What Is NOT Funded
- Window 1: January 1 - March 1
- Window 2: September 1 - November 30
