Two Rivers Unrestricted Endowment (T.R.U.E) Grants Fund The Two Rivers Unrestricted Endowment (T.R.U.E.) Fund is a charitable investment account to benefit the people of Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and New Castle communities. Community-minded donors can make contributions of any size. Funds are used to support local nonprofit organizations and community improvement projects through a competitive grant application process. A local steering committee, made up of community leaders, reviews grant applications and makes decisions once a year. Funds are distributed in November and can be used for projects the following year. The Western Colorado Community Foundation has partnered with T.R.U.E. to create a community-wide funding vehicle. It is also a permanent charitable endowment that distributes earnings each year into the community and will continue for generations to come. Since its establishment in 2017, the T.R.U.R Grants Fund has distributed $ 68,250 in grants to nonprofits in communities from Carbondale to New Castle.
