Support for Young Tribologists Grant Program

The Support for Young Tribologists Grant Program, funded by the Taiho Kogyo Tribology Research Foundation, aims to assist young tribologists (36 years old or younger) in attending tribology-related conferences. With a maximum grant of $500 per individual, the program supports up to ten awardees annually, fostering global/regional development in tribology. Conference organizers must invite TTRF representatives to relevant events, enhancing networking and collaboration opportunities for awardees.

NOTE: No definite due date for application is set, but on a first-come-first-served basis.
Objective
Support young tribologists to attend a tribology-related conference which is expected to contribute to global/regional development of tribology
Conditions of Receiving Grant
For any conference a maximum number of ten with a maximum of three from any one country awardees will be supported. The grant for any individual young tribologist is limited to not more once every five years.
Conference organizers are expected to hold a luncheon or other event for the awardees. When TTRF representatives attend the conference, they should be invited to attend the event.

Eligibility

"Young tribologists" must be 36 years old or younger at the time of the conference.
Only conference organizers can apply.

Ineligibility

Tribologists from industry or other for-profit organizations are excluded.Young tribologists cannot apply to TTRF.
