Program Overview:
A partnership between the National Football League and the Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee designed to identify and prepare diverse local businesses to participate in procurement opportunities related to Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium.

Primary Goals:

1. Link diverse Los Angeles suppliers to contracting opportunities related to Super Bowl LVI
2. Provide professional networking and development programming for member businesses

Focus Areas:

• Supplier contracting and procurement
• Professional networking and development
• Business readiness preparation

Target Business Types:
Minority-owned, woman-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, and veteran-owned businesses

Eligibility Requirements:

• 51% ownership by a minority, woman, veteran, or LGBTQ+ individual
• Certification as one of the following:
  • Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE)
  • Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (DVOSB)
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Business Enterprise (LGBTBE)
  • Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
  • Small Minority Business Enterprise (SMBE)
  • Small Woman Business Enterprise (SWBE)
  • Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)
  • Woman Business Enterprise (WBE)
• Physical office location in Los Angeles County
• In operation in Los Angeles County since February 2018 or earlier
• Provide products or services requested by Business Connect
• Direct source of goods and services proposed
• Good standing and eligible to do business with City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, or State of California

What They Fund:

• Contracting opportunities for goods and services
• Networking with NFL representatives, Host Committee staff, and corporate sponsors
• Business development programming

What They Don't Fund:

• Guaranteed contract awards (suppliers are not guaranteed work; suppliers are guaranteed access to development opportunities)

Important Note:
Suppliers participating in Business Connect are not guaranteed to be awarded work with Super Bowl LVI, the Los Angeles Host Committee, or the NFL. However, all participating suppliers are guaranteed full access to the program's development opportunities.

Application Period:

• Opens: October 27, 2020
• Closes: February 23, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Steps to Apply:

1. Register for an account at www.lasec.net/businessconnect
2. Complete the Business Connect application
3. Ensure certification requirements are met by the deadline

Required Materials:

• Proof of 51% ownership by minority, woman, veteran, or LGBTQ+ individual
• Current certification as one of the designated business types (DVBE, DVOSB, LGBTBE, MBE, SMBE, SWBE, VOSB, or WBE)
• Proof of physical office location in Los Angeles County
• Documentation of operation in Los Angeles County since February 2018
• Details of products or services offered
• Proof of good standing with City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, or State of California
