Summary

The OceanFirst Foundation is offering Summer Camp Grants totaling $75,000 to support nonprofits that provide camp scholarships of up to $250 per child. NOTE: Nonprofits that have not previously been included in the Summer Camp Grant program should call 732-341-4676 to be screened before applying. Summer will be here before you know and we’ll be partnering with some of the very best nonprofits in our footprint to provide $75,000 in Summer Camp Scholarships. If your nonprofit is a camp provider, this program is for you! We’re especially interested in camps that offer safe and nurturing activities like arts education, science, leadership development, and civic engagement. Past recipients of Summer Camp Grants have offered all kinds of interesting, safe and engaging activities to kids, including theater, science, and leadership development. Organizations selected to receive Summer Camp Grants must agree to use funds awarded to provide camp scholarships of up to $250 per child to cover the cost of a camp experience.

Eligibility

We consider requests for Summer Camp Grants from nonprofits (501c3) that can demonstrate a significant level of service and impact within one or more of the counties in OceanFirst Foundation’s New Jersey footprint – Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Monmouth, and Ocean. Applicants from outside this primary footprint must be invited to submit a request.The mission of applicant organizations should also align with one or more of our funding priorities: Health and Wellness, Housing, Improving Quality of Life, and Youth Development and Education.

Ineligibility

Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status or other factors protected by law are ineligible for consideration.OceanFirst Foundation cannot provide funding for the following:

Individuals Research
Organizations not exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Exceptions may be made for volunteer fire and first aid squads with 504 (c)(4) status.Organizations with programs that are primarily religious in nature, such as faith-based indoctrination, church building campaigns, and general offerings. However, we will consider supporting such organizations provided the programs offered meet a need of the broader community, for example, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and other social service needsPolitical causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns or organizations designed primarily to lobbyAthletic teams, athletic events or sports leagues
