Overview

Summer Apprenticeship Bridge Program

Funder: Riverside County Office of Education, in partnership with LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network and Network Kinection

Overview: A summer career training program for graduating high school seniors offering hands-on technical experience, career training workshops, and financial awards to support transition to higher education and employment.

Target Population: Class of 2025 RCOE-graduating pre-apprentices

Eligibility Requirements - Must meet ONE of the following:

  • Current or former foster youth

  • Pell Grant eligible

  • Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) eligible

  • Graduating from a Title 1 School

  • Considered low-income

  • Formerly incarcerated

  • Parenting youth

  • Considered to have a disability
  • Additional Requirements:

  • Ability and interest in working full-time and attending community college part-time

  • Ability to legally work in the United States

  • Must complete application timeline and materials
  • What They Provide:

  • Up to $3,000 stipend

  • Career training workshops

  • Hands-on technical experience

  • Post-secondary guidance

  • Help fulfilling transition requirements for higher education and full-time employment

  • LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network (formed 2018, leverages workforce and education systems)

  • Network Kinection (connects employers with students and talent)
