Passionate about music, scouting, art, skiing, hiking, dancing, travel, and especially aviation—where he dreamed of becoming a pilot—the Foundation seeks scholarship candidates who embody his curiosity, generosity, leadership, and zest for life. Through its 2026 scholarship program, the Foundation celebrates students who live fully, uplift others, and pursue their dreams with enthusiasm and heart. Suffolk County Eagle & Gold Award Projects Grants The Andrew McMorris Foundation Scout Scholarship honors Andrew’s deep commitment to scouting and his goal of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Having begun as a Tiger Cub and advanced to First Class Scout—earning 21 merit badges, including aviation—Andrew exemplified ddication, enthusiasm, and service. This award recognizes a scout candidate who demonstrates kindness, compassion, and selflessness, along with a strong commitment to their community, scouting troop, and education. The selected recipient should embody Andrew’s enduring passion for life, leadership, and spirit of service, reflecting the values he lived every day.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a current Suffolk County Boy Scout or Girl Scout whose Eagle Scout or Gold Award Project has already been approved.Applicant must provide a copy of your approved and signed Eagle Scout or Gold Award Project ProposalApplicant must provide one letter of recommendation from their Scout Master, Assistant Scout Master or Troop Leader.Applicant must complete an activity resume that includes scouting accomplishments including (not limited to) badges or pins received and community service done as a scout.
