Stronger Together Fund
Status: Applications are currently closed. This fund was initially opened in late April 2020 for Round 1, and reopened for Round 2 with a deadline of September 25, 2020.
Geographic Scope: Minnesota (Asian Minnesotan organizations)
Funder: Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL)
Background: Created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support Asian Minnesotan organizations and their community members during the crisis. CAAL recognizes that solidarity across diverse communities is necessary to advance social justice.

- Building organizational capacity to transition to virtual and technology-based service delivery
- Supporting physical distancing and remote work environments
Purpose
CAAL Ignite aims to support Asian Minnesotan organizations who are supporting the most vulnerable segments of the community during the pandemic, with a focus on:- Limited English proficiency
- Limited technology fluency
- Undocumented or mixed-status families
- Low-income individuals and families
- Large multi-generational households
- Micro-businesses
- Elderly populations
- Young people
Target Population
The fund prioritizes support for vulnerable Asian Minnesotan community members:- Applicants: Asian Minnesotan organizations
- Structure: 501(c)(3) nonprofits OR fiscally sponsored organizations
- Emerging Groups: Informal and emerging groups addressing COVID-19 issues welcome if fiscally sponsored
- Reapplicants: Organizations that received Round 1 funding may apply again; review committee will consider prior funding
