Story County Affordable Housing Initiatives - Owner-Occupied Repair Program

    Funding Restrictions

  • Maximum per home reimbursement: $15,000.00
  • Forgivable liens: Five-year forgivable liens will be placed on any property if repairs exceed $5,000.00

Eligible Repair Categories

Grant funds may be used for: 1. Address critical life-safety issues – Repairs should only address a critical need 2. Assist individuals in need – Assistance should be prioritized for homeowners in the most need 3. Fix a problem & improve living conditions – Repairs should remedy a problem and improve living conditions

Status

The application period for the annual NOFA closes periodically. Notifications of approval or denial are issued on or after January 20 of the following year. The SCHT Board may consider requests for funding at other times during the year outside of the annual cycle.
