Overview: An annual award created in 2022 to honor Dr. Steve Fox and presented to VOS members who have shown a lifelong commitment to collaboration between research, practice, and industry with significant contributions to the field of veterinary orthopedics and the VOS.

Background: Dr. Steven M. Fox MS, DVM, MBA, PhD has made numerous and impactful contributions to the VOS, veterinary orthopedics, and pain management. His career includes experience as a naval aviator, veterinary surgeon, academic faculty member, industry executive, and consultant. He served as President of the VOS and played key roles in drug development (Rimadyl and Deramax), authored over 80 professional publications and 5 textbooks, and is recognized internationally as an expert in pain management and musculoskeletal diseases.
