Overview:
The STEM Next Opportunity Fellows program places STEM education experts within federal agencies to expand access to out-of-school time STEM learning. Fellows serve as subject matter experts and work to support federal agencies in developing policies and programs that increase access to high-quality STEM learning opportunities outside the classroom.

Program Details:

  • Placement: Fellows are stationed at federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Education's Institute for Education Sciences (IES)

  • Duration: Multi-year fellowships (noted example served from 2022)
