• Student Focus: Proposed STEM activity must directly benefit students enrolled in VOL service areas
• Limit: Only one grant per school or district per year
• Priority: Applications demonstrating high levels of student achievement in STEM activities receive priority

Eligible Use of Funds

• Funding for STEM activities happening outside traditional school schedule
• Support for students participating in STEM competitions and enrichment programs
• Specialized STEM programs and initiatives
• Must directly benefit K-12 students in VOL service areas

• Individual gain
• Political parties, campaigns, or causes
• Labor or veterans' organizations
• Religious or fraternal groups (except accredited parochial, private, and charter schools)
• Volunteer emergency groups
• Athletic activities
• Courtesy advertising
• Fundraising events
