Summary
The Stein Family Charitable Trust Grant supports charitable organizations in Tarrant County, Texas, dedicated to aiding children with physical or mental disabilities. Established by the Stein sisters, this trust prioritizes organizations that provide necessary relief and treatment. Grants typically range from $10,000 to $20,000, and applicants must wait one year after receiving a grant to reapply. This ensures ongoing support for local initiatives focused on the welfare of children in need.Overview
Mission Katie, Harriet, Lillie and Laura Stein grew up in New York and retired in Fort Worth, Texas where their brother owned and operated Stein's Jewelry. The sisters were dedicated to the education and welfare of young people. Out of this concern, they created a trust to help Tarrant County charitable organizations that serve children with physical or mental disabilities. Guidelines The Stein Family Charitable Trust accepts applications from charitable organizations that provide "relief, treatment and aid of children who are residents of Tarrant County, Texas, suffering from physical or mental infirmity...who, in the judgment of the trustee, are in need of such relief, treatment or aid." Eligibility to re-apply for a grant award from the foundations noted below requires grantee organizations to skip 1 grant cycle (1-year) before submitting a subsequent application. For example, if your organization received a grant in 2021, it would be ineligible to apply for the 2022 grant deadline. Grants are typically between $10,000 and $20,000.Eligibility
