Overview

St. Paul the Apostle Council 560 Scholarship

Funder: Knights of Columbus, Council 560, Muncie, Indiana

Geographic Scope: Delaware County, Indiana

Eligibility:

  • Must be a member of a Catholic church

  • Must be a resident of Delaware County

  • Must be entering freshman year OR currently enrolled as a full-time, matriculated student

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree at an approved college in the United States

  • Must maintain a B average (3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale) for renewal

  • Must be free of issues involving moral turpitude for renewal
  • Award Details:

  • Maximum scholarship: $2,000 per year

  • Renewable each year of undergraduate study to a total of four years

  • Renewal requires satisfactory academic performance (B average or above)

  • Award amount determined by student's educational costs at the college

  • Scholarship grant sent directly to the Catholic Student Center (Neuman Center) of the college
  • Selection Criteria:
    Awards made on basis of:

  • Academic excellence

  • Extracurricular/church activities
  • Notification:

  • Winners notified by May

  • Names published in Sunday bulletins of three Catholic parishes in Muncie and the Muncie StarPress

    5. Letter of recommendation from applicant's parish pastor/priest - PDF
    6. Certified copy of acceptance to college (must be received before payment)

    Important Notes:

  • All required documents must be prepared and uploaded as PDFs before starting the online application

  • If required information is not uploaded, the application cannot be submitted and information will not be saved

  • Materials submitted in support of the application are not returnable

  • Download the Academic Performance Form from the website, have it completed by a school official, then upload it as a PDF within the application
