Overview

Beatrice Educational Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1987, and one of the first education foundations in the State of Nebraska. The Foundation’s purpose is to provide a permanent source of financial support for the expansion and enrichment of learning opportunities for the Beatrice School District. The Foundation manages a $3.8 million Endowment Fund and awards over $55,000 each year in scholarships to Beatrice High School graduating seniors. St. John Lutheran College Educational Fund/ Spiritual Growth Fund Scholarship First Consideration: Eligible students must hold an active membership with St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice and prove acceptance into a Lutheran college. Second Consideration: Applicant with an active membership at St. John Lutheran Church who commits to spiritual growth opportunities, such as but not limited to chapel worship, Bible studies, discipleship, campus ministry activities at a Lutheran or non-Lutheran college. Proof of acceptance into the college or university is required. Students may re-apply each year and re-submit proof of enrollment and minimum grade point average.
