Objective The Department of Employment and Economic Development, through its Adult Career Pathways Programs is seeking proposals from qualified responders to provide services through the Southeast Asian Economic Disparities Relief competitive grant. The Southeast Asian Economic Disparities Relief competitive grant recipients must provide services that relieve economic disparities in the Southeast Asian community through workforce recruitment, development, job creation, assistance to smaller organizations to increase capacity, and outreach. Target Population Proposed services must target individuals of Southeast Asian descent of at least 18 years of age, including but not limited to Hmong, Lao, Vietnamese, Karen/Karenni, Filipino, Burmese, and/or Cambodian communities. Eligible Services Program Requirements Services provided under this proposal must be limited to one or more of the following areas: Workforce recruitment and outreach; conduct outreach to recruit from Southeast Asian communities for participation in workforce development programsWorkforce development; employment preparation, work readiness skills training, non- credential/credential trainingJob creation; entrepreneurial training, on-the-job training, internships, and paid work experienceCapacity building assistance to smaller organizations For the purposes of this program, participants refer to individuals from Southeast Asian communities or organizations serving Southeast Asian communities and will be referred to as participants/organizations. If your proposal is only for capacity building assistance to smaller organizations, your participants are the organizations you will serve.Eligibility
