The South-Central Section of the Geological Society of America offers competitive undergraduate research grants to students enrolled in institutions of higher education in the South-Central Section and who are student members of the Geological Society of America.Eligibility

Students must meet the following criteria:The student must be enrolled at an institution within the South Central SectionIn the United StatesThe states of Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.In MexicoThe states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz.The student must be a student member of the South Central Section of GSA. Funded students are expected to expend the funds as stated in the proposal; return any unexpended funds to the Section Secretary; and submit a one-page-maximum written report of the research and disposition of funds to the Section Secretary within three months of completion of the project.
