SOLI Stewardship Education Grants

Funder: Stewardship of Life Institute (SOLI)

Geographic Scope: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) synods, congregations, and affiliated partner ministries

Focus Areas: Stewardship education for church leaders; financial stability; creative, collaborative, grassroots efforts to teach stewardship

Award Amount: Up to $16,000 per project

Program Purpose: To encourage creative, collaborative, grassroots efforts to teach stewardship to church leaders. The program was created recognizing that many ELCA leaders lack the information or tools needed to lead their churches into financial stability.

Eligible Applicants:

  • ELCA judicatories (synods)

  • ELCA congregations

  • Other church partner organizations

    • Program Status: Resumed in 2023 after suspension (February 2021 - Fall 2021) for review and evaluation
